Created by Yagi Norihiro, the manga began in May 2001. It first appeared in Monthly Shounen Jump and is still on-going, though it is now serialized in the monthly publication Jump Square. Each chapter of the manga is referred to as a "Scene." As of July 2008, there are 81 Scenes and four Extra Scenes; it is not known how long the series will be.

Currently, there have been 14 tankoubon (volumes) released in Japan. Jump Square also released three special manga compilations in late 2007. 11 volumes of the manga have been released in North America by Viz Media.

All chapter names on this page are translations and will be updated with Viz's official translations as the English manga is released. Please note that at least some of the chapters, when released in tankoubon, have different names from what they were originally called in the monthly publications. I do not have a list of all of the original chapter names, but where they are available, the names in parentheses are the monthly publication names.

In late 2007, Jump Square released three special compilations of the Claymore manga. These special compilations, titled "Gin no Danshou" in Japanese and "Fragments in Silver" in English, are the size of monthly manga magazines (i.e., they're the size of phonebooks) and are made of the same type of paper. They contain nearly all the Scenes from tankoubon 3 through tankoubon 12. They also have extras not included in the original tankoubon such as colored posters, background information (like character statistics), and parody comics.
