The mangaka (manga artist) for the Vampire Princess Miyu manga series
is Kakinouchi Narumi. She was born in Osaka, Japan on March 21, 1962.
She was the animation direction and character designer for the Vampire
Princess Miyu OVA series, and her husband Hirano Toshihiro worked
on the same project as the OVA series' director. For the Vampire Miyu
TV series, Kakinouchi and Hirano did the storyboards, and Kakinouchi did the
preliminary character designs.
Kakinouchi works with Hirano on the Vampire Miyu and Shin Vampire
Miyu manga series. Kakinouchi has worked on other anime projects, and
her debut project was Ideon.
