Vampire Princess Miyu Notes
There are discrepencies about how names should be romanized or translated. You may notice, for instance, that "Kyuuketsuki Miyu" has been translated as both "Vampire Miyu" and "Vampire Princess Miyu." "Vampire Miyu" is the official alternate title in Japan. However, in North America, the series is more commonly known as "Vampire Princess Miyu" thanks to Animeigo's translation; Tokyo Pop also used "Vampire Princess Miyu" for the TV series. Additionally, the newest manga series that began in 2009 is called "Kyuuketsuhime (Vampire Princess)", with "Vampire Princess" as the official subtitle in katakana. Some issues dealing with these sorts of things are explained on this page.
